-   * ** __Post-doc/engineer positions__ in droplet-based microfluidics. Chemical Biology Laboratory at Institut de Science et Ingénierie Supramoléculaires (ISIS), Université de Strasbourg. ** Droplet-based microfluidics is a powerful new ultrahigh-throughput system in which reaction volumes can be miniaturized by up to a million-fold compared to conventional assays in microtitre platesThis opens up exciting prospects for the development of extremely innovative systems with many applications in the Life Sciences. We are seeking highly motivated post-docs/engineers (26k-28 €/year) to develop droplet-based microfluidics for applications in drug discovery. Specifically, in collaboration with industrial partners, we are developing systems for high-throughput screening of libraries of small molecules and proteins (including antibodies) and are working on the  high-throughput screening and directed evolution of microorganisms to produce enzymes for use in drug synthesis. Candidates should possess PhD (or have equivalent experience) in either (i) physicsengineering or bio-engineering, or (ii) molecular biologycell biologyenzymology or directed evolution. Practical experience of microfluidics would be an advantage, but is not essentialFlexibilitythe ability to work in highly multidisciplinary team and good interpersonal skills are essential. Address your applications to: griffiths@unistra.fr+   * ** __PhD Position__ in Advanced Material Design at the Institut de Science et d'Ingénierie Supramoléculaires (ISIS).** One PhD position in "Supramolecular Engineering of 2D Self-Assembled Networks" is currently available at the Laboratoire d'Ingénierie des Fonctions Moléculaires (http://www-isis.u-strasbg.fr/ifm/intro)The research project will focus on the development of multi-scale computational strategies for the theoretical investigation of supramolecular networks self-assembled at surfaces. We are looking for highly motivated candidates with a strong background in physical chemistrycomputational chemistry, or molecular modeling. A Master degree in chemistryphysics, or related disciplines is requiredApplications containing a CV, a letter of motivation, a list of exams with scores and contact details of at least two references should be addresed to Dr. Marco Cecchini (Emailmcecchini@unistra.fr). Further details can be found on the lab Homepage.

-   * **Interfacing Nano-Objects for Functional Electronic and Optofluidic Systems (INOFEO).** ** __Post-doc position__ available at the Institut de Science et d'Ingénierie Supramoléculaires (ISIS), Strasbourg.** We are seeking a highly motivated post-doc (24-26 k€/year) with strong experience in fluid physics, microfluidics, and/or physics/microsystems engineering to work on an exciting interdisciplinary project to develop microfluidic systems to allow the precise control of spatial distribution, orientation and manipulation of nanocontainers using hydrodynamic flow, electrical and magnetic fields. The three year INOFEO project is financed by the Nanoscience Europe NanoSci-E+ program and aims to use nanocontainers, zeolites L, as an interfacing tool to the external word. The zeolites possessing 1D nanoscale channels, filled with molecules, or chemically functionalized, will be organized and manipulated in both static and dynamic configurations. We intend to use zeolites filled with fluorophores to generate tunable optical systems, including dye lasers and to target zeolites to cellular targets in microfluidic systems, allowing insertion of zeolite “nanoneedles” into cells for selective molecule delivery. __Address your applications to__ : Prof. Andrew Griffiths, Laboratoire de Biologie Chimique, Institut de Science et d'Ingénierie Supramoléculaires (ISIS), Université de Strasbourg, CNRS UMR 7006, 8 allée Gaspard Monge, BP 70028, F-67083 Strasbourg Cedex, FRANCE, Tél. : +33(0)3 68 85 51 71, Email: griffiths@unistra.fr, http://www-isis.u-strasbg.fr/lbc/
